General Terms and Conditions of Sale

1. Definitions

  • “PANJAB / We / Us / Our” means PANJAB

  • “Website” means https://panjab.co.uk

  • “Application” means any PANJAB-operated digital ordering system, including our website, mobile application, and in-store QR code ordering

  • “Direct Order” means an order placed via the Website or Application

  • “Third-Party Platform” means any external platform not operated by PANJAB (e.g. delivery marketplaces)

2. Scope

These Terms apply only to Direct Orders placed with PANJAB.

Orders placed via Third-Party Platforms are governed by the terms of those platforms. PANJAB is not responsible for payment processing, refunds, or chargebacks for third-party orders.

3. Placing an Order

The Website/Application guides you through the ordering process.
You are responsible for checking your order before submission.

All Direct Orders are subject to availability and acceptance.

4. Contract Formation

You must be 18 years or over and authorised to use the payment method provided.

Order acknowledgements do not constitute acceptance.
A binding contract is formed only when PANJAB confirms preparation or dispatch via digital notification.

PANJAB reserves the right to refuse or cancel orders at its discretion.

5. Pricing & Availability

Prices, descriptions, and availability may change.

If a pricing error is identified before acceptance, you will be offered the option to:

  • proceed at the correct price, or

  • cancel for a full refund

Any delivery or service charges are displayed before checkout.

6. Payment

For Direct Orders, payments are processed by third-party payment service providers including Adyen and Stripe.

PANJAB does not store or process payment card details.

Payment may be authorised before preparation.
Once authorised, payment is applied to the Direct Order placed.

7. Delivery & Collection

Delivery and collection times are estimates only.

PANJAB is not liable for delays caused by factors outside its reasonable control.

8. Cancellations & Refunds

Food orders are perishable goods.

Once preparation has begun, cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations do not apply.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including where goods are:

  • incorrect

  • not as described

  • not prepared with reasonable care

Refunds or remedies will be provided where legally required.

9. Third-Party Platform Orders

Where you place an order through a Third-Party Platform:

  • payment, refunds, cancellations, and chargebacks are handled entirely by that platform

  • PANJAB does not receive or hold customer payment funds

  • all payment disputes must be raised with the Third-Party Platform

PANJAB’s responsibility is limited to preparation of the goods supplied.

10. Call Recording

Calls may be recorded for legitimate interests including quality assurance, training, and dispute resolution.

If you prefer not to be recorded, contact us via email.

11. Limitation of Liability

PANJAB is not liable for:

  • indirect or consequential loss

  • loss of profit, data, or opportunity

Total liability is limited to the value of the affected Direct Order, except where liability cannot be excluded by law (including death or personal injury caused by negligence).

12. Force Majeure

PANJAB is not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, including system outages, supplier failure, power failure, or extreme weather.

13. Privacy

Use of the Website/Application is governed by the PANJAB Privacy Policy, which applies to all PANJAB services.

14. Changes

PANJAB may update these Terms from time to time.
Changes do not affect Direct Orders already accepted.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
